Ishigaki Island Herb Garden, Garden Pana
Introducing the southernmost herb garden “Garden Pana” in Ishigaki Island, a remote island of Okinawa.
It’s an herb garden with a cafe and shop that I visit every time I have a chance to drive slowly since I started living on Ishigaki Island immediately.
You can freely explore the spacious garden where various herbs unique to tropical countries grow, and you can have a lunch with fresh herbs that grow in the garden.
Until a cafe is opened in the herb garden overlooking Nagura Bay
Garden Pana started on Ishigaki Island in 1992.
At that time, there were no cafes or shops, and it was a workshop that produced original seasonings and herbal tea.
At the beginning of the operation, we grew peaches, lemongrass, mint, etc. in a small field, but 10 years later in 2002, it became a spacious garden where customers could interact with herbs.
A few years later, an open terrace was set up in the garden overlooking Nagura Bay, and you can enjoy herbal tea made with freshly picked herbs while looking at the beautiful sea. A cafe is open where you can enjoy food using food.
Explore the herb garden that is healed by the scenery and fragrance
Many kinds of herbs gather in the large herb garden.
Okinawa’s representative herbs, shell gingers, long-lived plants, roses and fruit trees, acerola, pitanga, shikuwasa, guava, as well as a sweet scent of mint, a refreshing scent, and a tingling scent. You can experience it.
Depending on the time of year, you will never get tired whenever you visit because there is a change in energy, whether the flowers are in bloom or whether they are fruiting.

After taking a walk around the herb garden, enjoy the freshly picked fresh herbs for food and drink.

There is a shop with affordable original products such as dry herbs sold by weight, mixed herbs that you can easily use for everyday cooking, and goods that let you enjoy the scent.
This time I chose flower herb salt and essential oil.
I want to enjoy the scent of herbs at home.

Okinawan people who have been using medicinal plants to maintain their health for a long time are also famous for their longevity.
Although various food cultures are mixed in the present age, having vegetables and fruits in the area at the best season will naturally prepare your body.
In the busy days, I want to have the power to withstand stress by having time to be healed by herbs for just a moment.
