How to make dried mugwort
In Japan, mugwort is also known as the “queen of herbs” and is known as an all-purpose wildflower.
Even in Yaeyama, it is known as a “Fuchiba” and is famous for being used to deodorize goat soup.
It is rich in iron and rich in nutrition.
I often tear it raw and put it in a salad, but this time I got a lot of mugwort from the field, so I tried to make dried mugwort so that it could be used for tea, rice cakes, or bread.
If you use it as a herb bath and soak it in bath, it will improve blood circulation and warm your body.
【material】
・ Mugwort
【tool】
・ Salad dehydrator
・ Steamer
・ Mill or mixer
① Rinse the wormwood 4 or 5 times while changing the water.
② Drain the water well with a salad dehydrator. Draining the water well will speed up the subsequent drying.
③ Steam in a boiling steamer for about 10 minutes. It seems that the finished green color will be beautiful by steaming.
It was steamed.
④ After spreading and draining, dry in the sun for 3 or 4 days.
This time it was a rainy day, so I dried it using a microwave oven.
It’s completely dry.
⑤Mix it with a mixer and it’s done.
If it is used as tea or herb bath, it may be used as it is, or if it is used for cooking, it may be powdered with a mill.
Use it in a bag or bottle and store it in a dark place without moisture.
Today I kneaded it into a bread baked at home bakery.
A little mugwort color. Slightly mugwort scent.
Let’s eat!
